Quilling Kits
Hi everyone!
I was at Hobby Lobby the other day, turned around and was surprised to see these...
They are very cute and great beginner kits or if you just need the paper for another project!
Take time to Quill!

Earring Holder
Hi! I know it has been a bit since my last post... :-/ sorry. Things have definitely gotten in the way.
I did want to share a little creation that I made for my niece's birthday.
I got one of those (laser?) cut wood frames from Michael's, some black plastic needle point canvas, small roping & an easel.
Turquoise, black & white to match her room!
I added a punched white rose, two fringed flowers and a bit of green leaves on each corner to dress it up and add a little girly-ness. I think she liked it!
Don't forget to use some spray sealer on the flowers if you make one. I also added the roping to the edge of the canvas to finish off the backside. I used Crafter's Pick glue to attach the canvas & roping. This glue is great to glue different surfaces together.

"Creative Paper Quilling" Book Blog Hop
Hello Everyone,
I am very excited to have you here at my new Blog, to be part of this Blog Hop celebrating the release of the book and to have some of my quilled pieces in the new book "Creative Paper Quilling" by Ann Martin! This book is published by Annie's Publishing and can be ordered here http://www.anniescatalog.com/detail.html?prod_id=104399 The book has projects from far and wide made by all of the talented Quillers that I admire; I am honored to have my projects among theirs!
This quilled wreath is one of the projects of mine that will be in "Creative Paper Quilling". It is a great project to make for a Christmas ornament as pictured here. You can also use the wreath as a card topper or on a gift tag. You will find detailed directions for making this in the new "Creative Paper Quilling" book.
This quilled egg is another project of mine that will be featured in the "Creative Paper Quilling" book. It is a great project to make as a Christmas ornament or even a decoration for Easter. You can also find the directions for this project in the book.

Happy Monday!
Today I wanted to share a gift that I made for a friend who sews. I can post this now because I have given it to her; didn't want to spoil her surprise by adding it earlier. Happy Birthday Melissa!
This started as one of the little paper mâché busts from Michael's. it was painted first with a tan, when dry a crackle medium was added. I then added off white on top after crackle medium was dry. Next I layered tight coils and bead rolls to make the base and finial on top. Then I glued ribbon around the bottom, and covered the edges with lace. Next I added a diagonal swath of flowers and greenery across the middle.
With a little paint, ribbon, lace and paper flowers you have a one of a kind gift!

A not too "spooky" card
Hi all,
I did not mention this earlier but, another
of my passions is card making; especially if I can add quilling!
Today I would like to share a Halloween card that I made using a combo of old and new supplies. The ghosts and fence are the old Sizzix yellow dies. The larger bats are Martha Stewart and the smaller is a mini punch from either Michael's or Walmart. The striped paper was from last year, sorry not sure which company.
I did add a large mum bush, did you notice?
The pumpkin & bat stamps were colored with Copic markers. The bat is from the Inkadinkado set, Mindscape Halloween. The "BOO" is from an old Martha Stewart set called Spooky Phrases.
Won't be long before the little ghosts and goblins are marching around the neighborhood!
